What really happened was that I attempted to gain an understanding of SEO and discovered Medium.

My headspace was full. I was beginning to feel that haze building that signifies the overtaxing of brainpower. The feeling that starts with facial muscles scrunched, and eyes feeling like they no longer have a drop of moisture to release relief , but soon extends into the mind wandering while trying desperately to retain some practical semblance of personal application from knowledge too technical for me to process automatically.

Serendipitous Examinous Organzaium
Writing on Medium because of a chance YouTube video trying to understand the signifilogical importance of SEO.

I soon discovered that “Learning the ‘basics’ of SEO” had more to do with the authors origin than a linear path of understanding. SO MANY different perspectives from technical and practical, to whimsical and loop-hole-ish. Thank you to Zulie Rayne’s video on SEO for derailing my bingefest into zombification and encouraging me to adventure over to Medium.

Do Landlines Still Exist?

My experience at Fiverr started as a therapeutic outlet for a midlife crisis and a career shift away from an industry demanding a high level of technical expertise yet has only declined steadily over the last two decades. Who uses landlines anymore? I am not sure it is even worth figuring out. I bet that Nigerian Prince who wanted to send me money through an email opportunity all those years ago still uses one.

Fiverr (and Nigerian Princes) here I come

More hours of YouTube binge-zombification, yielded creating a profile and gig — only to learn that I had to take an English test and wait for real human W-9 vetting.

I persevered, waiting out the slow crawl of humans vs robots, and succeeded in publishing my first gig on Fiverr. Within hours of what felt like prostituting out my writing to anyone willing to notice me, I landed my first gig! Being skeptical of the whole process melted away any doubts as the email notification blinked on my phone that I had a message waiting at Fiverr. But only momentarily — I responded and received a text file to download as a response to my optimism.

My name is Thomas Hilton I’m a administrative professional over 4-years of experience in management and Project Management. I have completed many projects related to Project Management, Data Entry, and Presentation. My core expertise is a project management and documentation of the projects. I am proficient at data entry, record keeping, project management, with other clerical projects as assigned. I have successfully handled variety of projects for several clients/companies — from brochures to large catalogs with thousands of items, data entry, customer care service, payroll and many more.

As a sub-contractor, I do receive several projects offer from different clients. Due to the workload, i employ extra individuals to assist me. Since the pandemic my work load has doubled because most things are handled remotely this days. At the moment i am urgently in need of an individual to handle a semi-payroll project, no basic skillsrequired. Your duties will be strictly to print checks, put them in envelops and drop the envelopes at UPS/FEDEX for shipment.

It is a flexible project that requires less than 3hrs daily and three days a week. Payment is $500 Weekly with a monthly bonus. Please do txt me directly via my phone number (207) 401–6279 if you are interested and available to begin soonest.

Even an aboriginal pygmy in equatorial New Guinea has received scam emails like these, so the first thing I did was google the email subject and found several people who had obviously never heard of New Guinea and had progressed through a few stages of the scam of buying printing materials, printing checks and mailing them…..

Optimism in America may be alive and well, but mine took a blow to the kidneys as my second email was less robotic, but wanted me to work outside of the Fiverr system directly (having no listed work history, reviews or feedback, even I was skeptical of myself…)

Me

Thank you, but I am trying to establish and focus here on Fiverr. Than you again.

hamzad9

That’s what I’m offering tho

Me

When you said “hiring for 3 niches”, I felt it was an offer outside of Fiverr. I do not have experience writing a YouTube script, but am willing to explore your offer. What can I write for you?

After reviewing your message we’ve decided to approve it. It was received by hamzad9 at Sep 01, 3:05 PM.

He then never responded after I auto-tripped the ‘live person’ screening by my final response. And thus ended my first day on Fiverr. Somehow it seems an anticlimactic ending to an underwhelming beginning. But it is just an outlet, much like writing this.

So Tomorrow is another day. More Nigerian princes vs Aboriginal Pygmies, and a chance to face it on my own SEO terms and Mediums.
